Villa Mir Outhouse Makes Headlines

This spring the Cleveland Plain Dealer called for readers to send in photos of their charming garden sheds. We think our shed has character of its own sort. We found it on a farm up the road where cult leader Jeffery Lundgren carried out some grusome murders back in 1989. The outhouse was back behind a barn that was torn down a while ago. Now the house is also gone and a church has been built on the infamous property. The outhouse from that farm has survived and now serves as our garden shed. You can read the PD article here.

The Square is Alive, With the Sound of Music

The Cleveland Plain Dealer recently did a story on Chardon's Monday evening jams. The article brought out droves of new pickers and listeners... so much so that the police received a complaint.Seems that a group which was required to have a permit to gather on the square thought the pickers should have to apply for a permit as well. Problem is, there's no official organization or leader :) So the tunes will continue!

You can read the Plain Dealer article here as well as view some video. (The photo here was taken by Tom Ondrey of the PD.) The Maple Leaf also did an article and if you sign up for an account, you can read that here.
