Villa Mir Gets a New Puppy!

Nessie, a border collie named after Scotland's Loch Ness Monster, came to Villa Mir Farm a few weeks ago. She came tail wagging and eager to make friends with the gang of critters already here.

There are still a few places where you can take the whole family out for less than $25 as we recently did when we went to the Mayfield Drive In in our 1980 Ford pickup truck. The truck used to belong to Pop Lewis and it’s now a workhorse on the farm. But put a van seat and some mattresses in the back and it makes for great movie seating under the stars. We thought we had it good, but there was another family who brought their RV complete with party lights for the triple feature!
