Christmas Time's A Comin'

It's that time of year again and Villa Mir Farm has beautiful, cut-your-own Christmas trees for your home.

The trees are organic and natural, and no two are alike. At Villa Mir Farm there's lots of variety and personality to choose from: Colorado Blue Spruce, Balsam Fir, tall and small trees are available.

Free-Range Christmas Trees

Sound funny? At Villa Mir Farm, you'll find a select amount of cut-your-own Christmas trees in a natural setting and in their natural state. Paul Kovac grows trees with character. Trees that haven't been overly pruned or coerced into perfect cone shapes. Trees that have been nurtured to their full natural beauty.

You'll find interesting varieties: Colorado Blue Spruce, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir and White Pine. Trees are choose and cut your own, though Paul will help you with the process. Price is $5/foot up to 8 feet. There are even a couple 20+ foot trees available. Tis the Season

Tree Planting!

There's a lot of ways to plant a tree - some easy and some hard.  

Last fall we hired a guy with a tree spade to move a nice maple to the front of our house.  Call us impatient, but we'll enjoy it's leaves and shade this summer. See the clip below.

But not all trees go up quickly.  Each spring Paul orders seedlings to replenish his supply of Christmas trees.  There are plots all over the farm.  Here are some photos of him planting in front of our house (Villa Mir II).
